Al-Taqwa’s mission is to create academic excellence in an Islamic environment. At Al-Taqwa, each student that joins the Al-Taqwa family will be nurtured and enriched with positive character, development and growth. We aspire each student reaches their full potential in the classroom and beyond.

Al-Taqwa’s strong broad foundation, extensive and rigorous curriculum, and a small teacher- to- student ratio, not only prepares the students for high school, university and college, but instills in them the love of lifelong learning. The school curriculum exceeds the Ontario Curriculum expectations with state of the art learning resources and the latest classroom technologies.

Kindergarten (JK and SK)

We know from research the importance of having children play in groups in learning centers and learn about the world through the eyes of nurturing caregivers. Kindergarteners in Al-Taqwa enjoy learning the basis in two languages- both Arabic and English. Alphabets, numbers, Quran, Islamic Studies, manners and more are experienced with multiple playstations, Smart Boards,technologies, story pods, and craft centres, where learning soars, and imagination takes flight. Our kindergarteners will feel safe and loved in their new surroundings while enjoying a full day of school, 5 days a week.

Primary (Grades 1-3)

Your special ones are now in school, and the sky of learning is limitless. In our younger grades, we focus on hands-on learning with playing, engagement with role understanding, and introduction of the foundations of academics through various methods of teaching, Smart Boards, technologies in Math, English, French, Arabic, Science, Quran, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, Arts, Physical Education and Computers as we establish the love of life-long learning.

Junior (Grades 4-6)

Students now have established the groundwork of lifelong learning and meaningful friendships. At the Junior level, these foundations are built on to expand academic enrichment, and independence with focused activities and assignments to prepare our young leaders for higher learning.Through the rigorous curriculum at school, spelling bees, speech competitions in the community students are strengthened in three languages and the major academic disciplines.

Intermediate (Grades 7-8)

Students undergo full academic preparation and achievement to strengthen them and prepare them for Secondary School. Al-Taqwa prepares student with scientific research, English literature, essay writing, creative poetry, math competitions, Quran competitions, sport competitions, and much more to help them become well rounded learners and leaders in their secondary education and beyond.

Secondary School (Grades 9-12)

Al-Taqwa Secondary School is accredited and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Our students are able to fast track their Grades 9-12 courses and graduate in three years. Our students have received a 100% acceptance rate to Universities and Colleges locally and all over the world. We offer courses in Advanced Functions, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social Sciences, technology, and all other subjects that are offered by the Ontario Curriculum. In addition we offer Islamic studies and Arabic courses that are approved as a full credit course by the Ministry towards the 30 required credits to graduate with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Al-Taqwa Secondary School holds a strong educational foundation with a small student-to-teacher ratio and an Islamic environment.
